Is the ThriveCart lifetime deal still available? (July 2026)
Technically yes β but it's no longer the offer. On July 17, 2026 ThriveCart switched its front-door pricing to monthly subscriptions with a 30-day free trial, and the lifetime license became a single homepage footnote. Existing lifetime customers are unaffected and keep their licenses. The deal you'll find today isn't the one most reviews describe.
If you've been sitting on "I'll grab the ThriveCart lifetime deal eventually," here's the honest state of play: what changed on July 17, what existing license holders keep, and the pricing history that made "lifetime" a sore subject well before this month.
The short answer
A lifetime option still exists as of this writing, but ThriveCart no longer leads with it. The homepage now opens with monthly plans and a 30-day free trial, and the lifetime license is reduced to one line further down: "Ready to commit for life? Available as a lifetime option." For a product marketed for years as the pay-once cart, that's a real reversal β the default path a new customer sees is now a subscription.
We're deliberately not quoting a current lifetime price, because it's no longer displayed prominently and could change at any time. The figure most older reviews cite β historically around $495 β describes the past, not necessarily the present. Verify the current price, and exactly what it includes, on thrivecart.com before paying.
What changed on July 17, 2026
ThriveCart published a press release announcing a monthly pricing model with a 30-day free trial. The plans, as announced:
- Standard β $37/month billed annually, or $47/month billed monthly.
- Pro+ β $67/month billed annually, or $87/month billed monthly.
- Enterprise β custom pricing.
The company cited 75,000+ businesses served, and reiterated the things it's genuinely good at: 0% platform fees on your own payment gateway, a large integration catalog (17 autoresponders, 9 course platforms), free course hosting via ThriveLearn, and its well-known affiliate community.
If you already own a lifetime license
The press release is explicit: "Existing ThriveCart customers are not affected by this change." Your license did not expire, convert to a subscription, or get repriced. You keep what you bought. If you run your business on a ThriveCart lifetime account today, nothing about July 17 forces your hand.
What it does change is the story: an installed base that bought "pay once, own it forever" now watches the company lead new customers to a subscription β which is why this article's question is suddenly everywhere.
Why some lifetime holders already felt burned
July's shift didn't happen in a vacuum. In April 2025, ThriveCart replaced its one-time Pro upgrade with Pro+ at $295/year, and began gating some newer features β advanced affiliate management and advanced sales-tax handling among them β behind that annual tier. For people who'd bought on the promise of "lifetime, with future updates," watching new capabilities land behind an annual paywall stung; a reviewer with five years on the platform published a detailed account of exactly that friction (bloggingx.com, linked below).
To be fair: the core lifetime license was honored and ThriveCart remains a mature, capable cart. But the pattern is worth knowing when weighing any "lifetime" offer, from anyone: the license can be forever while the feature boundary moves.
So: wait, hunt, or move on?
Three honest options if you're choosing a cart this month:
- Take the trial. The 30-day free trial is new and genuinely useful β you can test ThriveCart properly before committing to $37β$87/month.
- Hunt down the lifetime option. It exists. Confirm the current price on thrivecart.com, and ask specifically whether the features now gated behind Pro+ are included in what you're buying.
- Reconsider the field. The one-time price that made ThriveCart the default answer is no longer its front-door offer β a fair moment to compare alternatives.
Our pitch: when every cart is monthly, buy the better month
GoCushy is a checkout your own AI operates. ThriveCart's AI (ThriveIQ) assists inside its dashboard; GoCushy flips that β your AI in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor runs the store through 40+ tools: products, bumps, upsells, coupons, refunds. As of this writing, no other cart is built for an agent to operate. Money settles on your own Stripe or PayPal β we never hold it.
We're not going to dangle a lifetime counter-offer at you β the search that brought you here is evidence of how that era ended. Instead we price the way the monthly era should work: $99/month with everything included and 0% added GoCushy platform fees β bumps, upsells, subscriptions, your own affiliate program and worldwide tax handling (Stripe Tax, sequential compliant invoicing) all in the one plan, with no feature tiers to hunt through and nothing stacked on top of the sticker price. Your processor's standard rate still applies; that part belongs to Stripe or PayPal, not us. The first 30 days are free, and you can cancel any time. There's also a Free plan β $0 plus a 3% GoCushy platform fee β if you'd rather pay per sale.
Honest gaps: GoCushy is young, with no page-builder ecosystem, no native course hosting and no A/B testing UI β if those are your priorities, ThriveCart or SamCart will serve you better today. But if what soured you on "lifetime" was watching the feature boundary move, a month where everything is included is the honest alternative β and you can test it for 30 days without paying anything.
$99/month. Everything included. 0% added platform fees.
First 30 days free, cancel any time. Your AI runs the store; the money lands in your own Stripe.
